MBIT, one of Bihar’s premier engineering institutes, announced its collaboration with Macquarie University in Australia to offer scholarships to talented students for foreign studies. MBIT has pledged $ 1 million or Re 5 cr towards this and an MBIT student can get up to Re 15 Lakh to undertake an early career Masters program at Macquarie Graduate school of Management.

“This is a proud and historic arrangement for us. I have always been passionate about enabling talented students from Bihar and with this we have opened the door for our students to pursue world-class education in the best environment,” said Mr Amit Kumar Das, NRI and Chairman of MBIT. MBIT is a state-of-the-art institution offering engineering programs and is located among one of the most backward regions of Bihar, a northern Indian state.
Apart from scholarship for study in Australia, MBIT student will also get study and work visa. “It is hoped that this opportunity to study abroad will broaden MBIT undergraduates global experience and perspective, encourage international connections and provide a platform for future leadership and career achievement,” said Prof Dowton.
